For digital picture frames, the screen quality is paramount. In this aspect, all three models offer vivid colors and up to 400 nits of brightness to reduce glare caused by indoor lights or sunlight.
The 11-inch model has the highest resolution of the three at 2,000 x 1,200. The 16-inch frame has a 1,920 x 1,200 resolution, and the smallest 10.1-inch model comes with the lowest resolution at 1,280 x 800. Judging by the resolution, pexar is positioning the 11-inch model as its flagship, offering the crispest details. Still, the pixel density of the other two sizes is more than adequate to display pictures beautifully.
With a magnetic stand that supports both portrait and landscape modes, you can change the orientation on the fly depending on the picture’s aspect ratio. It also has cutouts for wall mounts if you’re out of desk or shelf space.
Whereas traditional picture frames can only hold one picture per frame, the pexar Digital Picture Frames can store thousands. pexar says the 32GB internal memory can keep up to 40,000 pictures, with the option to expand that to 1TB—or 1,000GB—using a USB stick or SD card. With that much storage, it’s practically made to be shared. Through a smartphone app, anyone in the family can upload directly to the frame, whether they’re at home or elsewhere, as long as they have an internet connection.
