Early Career and Leadership
Before he became a moving company owner, Jenicek specialized in furniture delivery. Starting at just 17 and continuing well into his 20s, he worked intense 100-hour weeks at a major furniture store chain and moved people on his off time in the Inland Northwest. Jenicek’s dedication eventually paid off, leading to his becoming general manager.
Entering this leadership position, Jenicek learned the importance of building systems. He developed solutions in sales, customer service, vendor relationships, logistics, delivery operations, and team management, helping the company set every major sales record across the 3-store chain. In building these systems, Jenicek identified early on a need for local movers and long-distance movers in the area.
Origins of Move Forward LLC
Jenicek began building his own North Idaho moving company on the side. He recalls many occasions where he drove through the night without sleep to complete a move and get back to work; ultimately, his motivation to build something meaningful was enough. After sacrificing nights and weekends to establish a presence in the community, Jenicek left the furniture store to focus on his Inland Northwest moving company full-time.
