Christian Chêne discusses full service digital marketing and eCommerce

Christian Chêne is a digital marketing & eCommerce specialist and founder of Qualia Marketing, a full-service digital marketing agency based out of Houston, Texas. Christian’s firm stands out due to the fact it provides a comprehensive digital service as well as video production that takes his clients to the next level.

Christian Chêne was able to answer a few questions for us about his business.

How did you get started with digital marketing and start Qualia Marketing?

I started digital marketing and eCommerce in 2009 when I started my own and first brand named Bachelor Shoes. Sales, marketing and eCommerce is my passion! I basically taught myself by reading books and practicing the skills I learnt with my own brand. In the first year I was available to hit 1.2M in online sales – with most of it thanks to advertising on Instagram, Facebook and Google.

After that I was available to get features in GQ and Vogue a couple of times. After learning more about digital marketing I did courses and certifications, but I have wanted to graduate so I went back to study at Duke University.

What areas of digital marketing do you specialize in for your clients?

Digital Marketing and eCommerce, Shopify, WordPress, Facebook, Instagram, Google. We specialize in all of the big platforms that are required to get your brand’s name recognized and supported on today’s competitive internet marketplace.

How big is your team and how would you like to expand your services in the future?

I have 3 teams, and we all work remotely. I believe in letting people have a good work/life balance, so I have a team in Mexico, USA and overseas. This mix of teams means we are able to spread out work and ensure that nobody is overwhelmed and does a poor job – excellence is everything to us!

Has the COVID-19 pandemic affected the way you conduct your client’s campaigns?

Not at all! My company got 10x busier since the outbreak of COVID since lot of people understand how important it is to have online sales and digital marketing to push those sales – this way their business can still generate sales and not shutdown business!

Since the postal service and internet are still functioning during the pandemic, there are still lots of ways for products and services to be delivered to customers. We recognize this and help our clients continue effective digital marketing during the crisis.

What are some of the future trends you predict will influence the digital marketing industry and how are you preparing for them?

Definitely the new world system in 2021 – we’ll see new marketing trends. Artificial intelligence will start making a bigger impact on digital marketing very soon!

We are always expanding and adapting our services so that we can be successful with the new forms of digital marketing that emerge.
