Bully Barbé allows me to say things Rene bonét shouldn’t –Bonét.
The artist mentions the desire to allow her brother to live through her, giving him his chance to be the rapper he always wanted to be. Her song “Shawdy” has that familiar sound, a sound that takes you back to your memories. This visual brings her to life as the girl next door and its clear she is made for the camera. Her performance is emotionally modern, but vintage. Pulling on the hearts of anyone who truly loves real R&B music. Her vocal delivery is exceptional and there is no doubt that she is setting a stage to be here for a long time. An artist that can safely jump between genres the way she is doing it, is truly something special and it is hard to ignore the work that she is putting in. “I’m always on the go between the studio’s, music videos, photo shoots, press and performing, my team keeps me pretty busy, but I love it” –Rene Bonét is setting the bar for artists on the rise.
