From Admin to Advocate: Sheronda Rochelle Redefines Self-Evolution for Women Over 50

Sheronda Rochelle’s professional journey defies convention. Beginning her legal career in administrative roles, she advanced to executive legal leadership through grit, persistence, network development, and strategic self-advocacy. Rather than following a linear trajectory, she has embraced lateral moves and unconventional opportunities, allowing her to broaden her skills and deepen her impact. Her unique path fuels her passion for helping professional women over 50 realign their careers with their personal values and embrace their changing life journeys.

Throughout her career, Sheronda has taken bold steps that reflect her commitment to relationship building and authenticity. She has cultivated a powerful approach to mentorship and leadership grounded in emotional intelligence, storytelling, and empathy. Openness to growth now defines her brand, as she encourages other women to pursue paths that are meaningful and aligned with who they are today, and in many cases, who they have always wanted to be.

Expanding Horizons in Global Leadership

Since October, Sheronda has expanded her leadership role, overseeing a team in India. A recent trip to Bangalore and Hyderabad allowed her to connect in person with her team and key stakeholders. Strengthening relationships through face-to-face communication reaffirmed her belief in the power of authentic human connections, even across continents. These moments of personal connection reinforced her leadership philosophy: empathy, listening, and cultural awareness are essential for effective global collaboration.

With another trip to Los Angeles planned for April, Sheronda continues building on this global momentum. She’ll attend an event highlighting the work of other remarkable women, and is scheduled to film her life story interview for the MCAAD American Dream Video Project (American Dream Video Project | MCAAD), another step in her ongoing mission to advocate for change and purpose in professional spaces.

Building a Brand for Women Over 50

As she enters her 50’s, Sheronda is leaning into the next growth phase. Her new Instagram page will focus on all facets of the lives of professional women over 50, a space she believes is overlooked and ready for fresh, inspiring voices. Early May will bring a content push centered on her birthday reflections, travel experiences, and brand development.

Sheronda envisions this platform as a space for honest conversations about change, identity, and personal growth after 50. Her weekly “thought of the day” posts on LinkedIn already offer career and life wisdom, and she plans to extend that influence with a podcast, community events, and a forthcoming book that will speak directly to women navigating life beyond mid-career.

Leading with Heart and Ethics

At the core of Sheronda’s leadership style is emotional intelligence. She connects through storytelling, favors real relationships over performative networking, and always considers the long-term impact of decisions on people. For her, success is not defined by titles or income, but by how closely one’s work aligns with their ethical compass.

She’s turned down lucrative opportunities that didn’t match her values, reinforcing her belief that integrity should guide every career choice. Sheronda encourages others to create development plans that explicitly include these ethical boundaries.

By following her heart and passion, Sheronda built skills that were pivotal to her success. Completing a Master of Fine Arts Degree in Creative Writing and simultaneously working as a legal executive at Microsoft, a board member at Doctors Without Borders, and raising a teenager, not only highlighted her mastery of prioritization in the juggling act that is work+life, but also developed her skills in storytelling that she uses across all realms.

Looking Ahead

In addition to content creation and mentorship, Sheronda completed her first draft of her fiction novel, contributed an article to 360 Magazine where she served as their ambassador at a performance of Preservation Hall at Pepperdine University (Preservation Hall Jazz Band at Pepperdine University – 360 MAGAZINE – GREEN | DESIGN | POP | NEWS), and continues to create recipes for her much-anticipated cookbook. She is exploring future opportunities that align with her brand as a globe-trotting professional woman committed to supporting others.

For those eager to follow her growing journey, Sheronda invites readers to connect with her on LinkedIn or on her Instagram @evolutionofronda. Her weekly posts continue to inspire and challenge perspectives. Her story reflects what’s possible when you lead with empathy, honor your truth, remain open to change, and celebrate the journey.
