DJ Smo aka. Johnny Bravo brings his love for Caribbean culture and music anywhere he goes, but musically he knows no boundaries; producing Dancehall and Afro hits as well as Hip Hop bangers – no rules, just Sauce!
The craziest DJ in the European Dancehall Scene, traveling to Jamaica as often as possible, living the life of the young and reckless.
His mind is saturated with music, his mixtapes run the streets. When he’s on set he takes you straight to Kingston, or New York – or wherever the f*** the turn up is!
As a proud member of Germany’s world famous Jugglerz Sound, he is heard and seen on many stages all over the world.
But besides his on stage work, Smo also gets busy in the lab; cooking up insanely hot beats, producing for artists like Beam, Spice, Konshens, Jahvillani and many more.
Smo has been credited as a producer for a lot of songs, but never put himself in the spotlight as the featured artists on those songs. But this is about to change!
Announcing his debut EP – that he refers to as a Mixtape – as a featured artists on tracks with Grammy-nominated artist Beam, a collaboration with DJ Moiz and Suku Ward, Boy Boy from Trinidad, and a few more names that makes every dancehall’s fan mouth water!
Scheduled to be released in September 2022 it is the most anticipated mixtape in the dancehall genre in 2022 and we can’t wait to listen to it!
2022 has already been a very busy year for Smo although, as he not only managed to produce for various German Rap and Pop Stars like Veysel, Ardian Bujupi, Moe Phoenix, or Zuna – but also kicked off his career as a songwriter and releasing the smash hit “Pamela” under the synonyme ‘D4zzy’. Djing, building beats, producing songs, writing lyrics, performing on and behind the mic –
this year’s list of achievements seems endless, but this is something that DJ Smo has always been known for; “..in this industry you gotta give 100 per cent all the time.
