Following the emotional success of her hit single Wizard, which quickly became her fastest-streaming and most-watched track to date, award-winning artist Clarita de Quiroz is back with something totally different. Her brand-new single Yallabye is out on June 27th this year, available on all streaming platforms, and it’s bursting with energy, attitude, and summer spirit.
Vibrant, cheeky, and confidently uplifting, Yallabye blends Clarita’s multicultural roots into a catchy, pop-forward sound that’s both fresh and familiar. The song is packed with Arabic-inspired instrumentation and rhythms, layered with lyrics in English, and features the infectious phrase “yalla, bye” turned into a fierce new anthem.
“This one’s me letting loose,” Clarita says. “It’s the kind of track you sing in the mirror, blast in the car, or dance to with your friends. It celebrates freedom and fun, and a different side of me as an artist.”
The single was written and produced by Matthew Riley of Wastland Productions, who worked closely with Clarita to shape its bold and colorful sound. “Matt really understood what I was going for,” she says. “He helped me find that balance between something fun and something powerful, and I love how it came together.”
While the idea behind Yallabye came from saying goodbye to a dishonest ex, Clarita is clear that it’s not about anyone specific. “It’s bigger than that,” she explains. “Yallabye is for anything that doesn’t serve you. Toxic people, bad habits, even your own limiting beliefs. Let them go. Move on. Protect your peace.”
The release also hints at an exciting shift in Clarita’s musical direction. While Yallabye leans heavily on Arabic sounds with English lyrics, the next single flips the formula, and will be primarily in Arabic, something she’s very excited to showcase.
“I’ve always been proud of my roots, and I can’t wait for everyone to hear more of that come through in my music,” she says. “This is just the beginning.”
Following the incredible response to Wizard, which reached No. 1 on iTunes and brought her music to a whole new global audience, Yallabye shows Clarita stepping into a confident, joyful new chapter, and inviting listeners to do the same.
Yallabye is out June 27th, available on all streaming platforms. Say goodbye to what holds you back, and hello to the best version of you.
