Mostly everyone is inspired by someone else, no matter what it is that you do. Hip-hop’s growth owes a lot of debt to artists learning or being motivated by each other’s work. Miami rapper Maylon Millions was just an teenager kid when he came across ASAP ROCKY’S song Pesos,” the star-studded hit song that introduced the Harlemite to the world. Maylon heard the beat and started writing to it in his notebook.
All of those years of writing paid off in 2020, when “Meet Me,” Maylon’s guitar-driven, melodic track about his ex girlfriend, took off on SoundCloud and TikTok.
To this date, “Meet Me” has been streamed over 1 million times on SoundCloud and Spotify. The rising Miami rhymer is also doing well with increasing views on YouTube, and now Maylon is gearing up for another run as he is about to release his next single “love me for me”.
Catch up with Maylon Millions in this week’s edition of The Rise.

What most people don’t know about you: “I’m laid-back and quiet. Even in my interviews. I notice that everybody expects the social media shit, but I’m not that guy that’s always rappin’ or always throwing money.” I rather do what I gotta do and inspire others anything is possible and never stop chasing your dreams.
What made you get into music: “Some way, some how, I was like, I’m not living regular. I stayed determined. In any situation, I find something. And look where I’m at. I don’t care what people say or think that’s my biggest strength nothing will break me I will always be confident and that’s why all the kids love me and my music.
Who did you grow up listening to: I grew up listening to Drake and lil Wayne threw out middle school and also Wiz khalifa because he is from my hometown but yeah that’s who I was listening to.
