For almost two decades, Spaddy has been running an animal recovery program from the school that has helped over 300 animals find homes. At first, kids would bring stray animals to Spaddy for help, but as the program grew, the school began reaching out to rescue programs and helping more animals in the community. Spaddy’s hard work and dedication have not gone unnoticed, as the school was awarded the Pawsitively Good Awards by NBC 6 South Florida and was recognized by NBC and Telemundo. As a result Spaddy and Monsignor Edward Pace High School Principal Ana Garcia were even invited to the Kelly Clarkson Show to share the inspiring story.
Over 300 animals have been helped and adopted or fostered out through Pace’s program.
