Phil Simpkins’ Arro Social: Where Content Creators, Users and Advertisers Profit from Their Hard Work on Social Media

In the past, social media sites used to pay content creators, the average Joes and Janes, well for their contributions, and users were not expected to pay at all. Today, you must be a Kardashian with millions of followers to make a living. According to Business Insider, “A new survey (2023) found that 87% of creators said they’d been paid late, an incorrect amount, or not at all.” Not only that, but social isn’t going to be free for users too much longer either. The Wall Street Journal reported in March 2023 that Facebook’s new subscription service will cost approximately $12 for users.

Restricted content, ownership, and censorship pose additional challenges for content creators. Arro Social and its co-founder and CEO, Phil Simpkins, is changing the game plan. He has created a groundbreaking platform that empowers content creators to take control of their work and profit from it without the shackles of traditional social media restrictions.

The Fab Five social media sites have been laden with issues for serious content creators. Major platforms like Facebook and YouTube often retain the lion’s share of advertising revenue, meaning creators are left with meager earnings. Moreover, these platforms have severe content restrictions and issue unfair account suspensions, which affect the creative freedom of users.

Phil notes, “We’ve seen where they’ve kicked out our posts, banned videos, and restricted content without reasonable cause. People are getting limited by these constraints.”

Arro Social places a strong emphasis on freedom of speech. Phil explains, “We don’t restrict users from having differing opinions, but we also maintain strict anti-bullying policies. We don’t allow spamming. We do have a reporting mechanism for spamming and hate speech.”

Phil wanted to reward everyone: its creators, its advertisers and its users. “We wanted to create a platform that gave these content creators the ability to make money, to be able to profit from their great work.” Creators will earn up to 70% of advertising revenue. All money generated from videos also belongs to the content creator. Creators also retain full ownership of their content.

And that’s not all. How many people would love to get paid for all the hours they are on social media? Arro social users will get paid as well. They will earn cryptocurrency for watching ads. It utilizes a unique system where funds are distributed from both user and content creator pools, ensuring that everyone benefits from the platform’s success.

Phil explains, “That was one of the things that I wanted to make sure that we put on here. Everybody’s doing the work, right? So you need to be compensated for your time instead of being bored to death. It means that advertisers should make their content entertaining and encourage people to want to watch it.”

Phil isn’t the only one who believes in his game plan. Through successful sales efforts, Arro Social has already raised over $450,000, and it offers an ERC-20 token on the Ethereum platform to further bolster its financial ecosystem.

How does it work?

Arro Social offers multiple ways for content creators and influencers to earn income. They can do this by receiving direct payments from advertisers. Those earnings are entirely theirs to keep. Phil explains, “If you get money from an advertiser as you make your video, we won’t ask you to give us the money you made from your video, right? Any money you make from your video is always yours.”

Additionally, there is a system in place where a portion of advertising revenue is divided into two pools: a content creator pool and a user pool. Content creators receive 50% of the money received from advertisers in the content creator pool, and 20% of the money goes to the user pool which is distributed to all platform users based on their usage during specific cycles, either daily or weekly.

Arro Social is meeting with advertisers and developers to discuss extra compensation for influencers they follow. These earnings can be converted into US dollars, with different cryptocurrencies used for this conversion, depending on the trading platform.

There will be some matchmaking happening between advertisers and creators. Advertisers can choose the influencers and content creators with the demographic they are trying to reach. Content creators will also have some control over the types of ads they want associated with their content. Phil is also meeting with various brands like Coke for product placements. That could sweeten the pot for everyone as well.

Social is just the beginning

Arro Social’s game plan also fosters collaborations with various influencers, including potential partnerships with notable figures like Mr. Beast and Tyreek Hill. Phil shared that they also plan to collaborate with music video influencers as well because “everyone loves music.”

Phil’s visions for Arro go way beyond just the social network. He is creating a comprehensive multimedia ecosystem. He has begun working on Arro TV for streaming longer videos and Arro Productions studio, where they can make their videos and movies. Additionally, Arro Social is exploring the integration of AI capabilities and working on potentially partnering with chatbots like Chat GPT to enhance user experience.

The game plan at Arro Social is content ownership, free expression and fair monetization. With those goals in mind, Arro Social is on the path to redefining how content creators interact with their audiences and earn from their creative endeavors, how users engage with the content and how advertisers build connections with both. And from this view, his game plan has the potential to be a WIN for everyone.
