Online Shincheonji Seminars Beginning on October 18 to Explain the Fulfillment of Book of Revelation

The last few years have been an unrelenting time of difficulty for the global community, with the COVID-19 pandemic, natural disasters, and global unrest seemingly dominating the news every day. These events have caused many churches and congregation members to wonder about the state of the world, and if we have entered the final era of Revelation promised in the Bible.

News outlets and media have increasingly pondered the connection between current events and Biblical prophecies. For example, on September 26th, the national newspaper USA Today ran a story that Christians are speculating that the COVID-19 vaccine could be the “mark of the beast,” an apocalyptic sign of the time of the end.

In response to this unease and curiosity, a live weekly broadcast on “Testimony on Prophecy and Fulfillment of Revelation, God’s New Covenant” will help clarify the true events of Revelation. These seminars will be hosted for free on YouTube from October 18th to December 27th. The live online broadcasts will be hosted by Shincheonji Church of Jesus, the Temple of the Tabernacle of the Testimony.

These seminars follow a series of widely attended seminars in August, where over 1700 pastors and 28000 people join in from all over the world. Those who attended included pastors and church members who are dealing with the difficulties of the pandemic and looking for solutions to church attendance, engagement, and growth.

“The number of participants at this time reflects their interest and effort to understand the words of Revelation consistently with the words of the rest of the books of the Bible,” said Mr. Kim Shin-chang, General Director of the International Mission Department of Shincheonji Church.

Leading these seminars will be Shincheonji chairman Lee Man-hee, who has said that he is a witness who saw and heard all the events of the Book of Revelation, as mentioned in Revelation 22:16. The seminars will go over the chapters of Revelation and describe the details of the prophecies and the events that have taken place: the who, what, when, where, why, and how.

This is in contrast to the typical discourse about Revelation – a book many find daunting, confusing, and hard to study. Yet that has not stopped many from interpreting and predicting its events. Predictions about the time of the end happen frequently, notably including Y2K and also December 21, 2012, which marked the end of the first “Great Cycle” of the Maya Long Count calendar. These predictions are peddled largely by influential speakers in the Christian community, which has caused followers to panic and grow more confused about what Revelation is actually about.

Through these seminars, Shincheonji hopes to remove the shroud of confusion and provide the clarity that will allow the global community to make sense of the prophecies of the Bible as well as the current events.
