Ghanaian entrepreneur and philanthropist, Michael Kwame Adade, announces plans to take his charity work to Ghana to help out-of-school children.
Michael Kwame Adade made a name for himself as a talented football player who plied his trade for Bayern youth, 1860 Rosenheim youth, and 1860 München Youth before suffering a career-ending injury. However, the 26-year-old is looking to make his mark off-field as a philanthropy, as he expands his charity foundation to Ghana. He currently runs a non-profit in Germany, focusing on providing food, jacket, and blankets to about 100 homeless people every winter.
“I’ve been blessed to have had the privilege to pursue opportunities overseas. And it’s a privilege I do not take for granted. Especially when you consider that there are many children who could grow up to positively impact the world if given the chance, who don’t have that same privilege to go to school, to live their dreams or find anyone to take a chance on them. So I want to give back to Ghana, my beloved Homeland and to give the next generation who are not as privileged, a chance at a better life.” – Michael Kwame Adade.
A recent special UNESCO report revealed that about 258 million African children are not in school, representing the highest rate in the world. The case is not particularly different in Ghana, which is where Michael Kwame Adade is looking to be helpful as he takes his charity work to his homeland.
Michael aims to give as many children as possible in different parts of Ghana a chance to become responsible adults by helping them get the necessary education to contribute to the development of the country.
In addition to his philanthropy, Michael Kwame Adade is also an entrepreneur, running a small private jet company after an injury brought his football career to an undesirable end.
