Can you tell us a little about your background and story?
I’ve had a lot of ups and downs in my personal life. Back in 2011 my first wife passed away from her 7 year battle from cancer. My heart was broken, and I was nearly broke, but with the support of family and friends, I was able to get back on my feet, both personally and professionally.
Since then, I have climbed to new professional heights and become an industry expert in mortgage banking throughout the United States. I routinely attend speaking events to inspire other professionals in their quest to serve families and breakthrough in this competitive industry.
In 2016 I met my amazing wife, and we got married in 2018. My personal life has had a huge turnaround. Professionally, I’m on track to serve a record number of families with home loans, and I’ve built a world-class team.
What are some of your proudest professional achievements?
I’m proud of the fact that I’m considered a local home loan expert and the many fantastic reviews I’ve gotten from grateful families warms my heart. The sincere gratitude of my clients has helped me generate a lot of referrals and repeat business, which accounts for a large amount of the business I generate each year.
What do you think makes your service stand out?
My dedication to my clients is something that’s often spoken about in reviews of my services, and this comes from my sincere passion for helping families, especially Veterans, in becoming homeowners. I work tirelessly, including nights and weekends, to ensure I’m always available to my clients throughout their home-buying experience.
One of the things that I think makes me more effective as a home loan expert is the fact that I’m supported by an extensive network of industry professionals who assist both during and after sales. My colleagues and I provide an experience above the industry standard, giving our clients a unique service tailored to their individual needs.
Why are Veterans and their families such a focal point for your services?
We owe Veterans so much, and the American Dream of family homeownership should be accessible to those who have chosen to serve our country. My team and I absolutely love helping Veterans and their families become homeowners, and it’s one of the most rewarding aspects of the work we do.
What are some of your top tips for homebuyers?
There are so many tips that it’s hard to list them all. Some of my best advice would be to ensure that you have your pre-approval ready to go, that you don’t go overboard in bidding, and that you gauge your max price based on your monthly payment budget, rather than your debt ratio. Another tip I’d like to add is that it’s better to ask a family member if you need extra cash for closing costs rather than request a seller concession.
What kind of things do you talk about at your speaking engagements?
These talks are designed for professionals who want to enter the competitive real estate market and serve families. While I cover a range of topics when I speak, one of the main focal points is ensuring that people are doing it for the right reasons – helping people become homeowners. If you aren’t passionate about helping families get into their dream home, you won’t enjoy working in this industry nearly as much, and I believe you need to love what you do to succeed in it.
What’s next for you?
I’m in the process of writing an industry book to help inform homeowners and property investors. I’m juggling writing the book with my other commitments, but I’m eager to finish it and publish so that an even wider range of people can benefit from my knowledge.
