On November 26th of 2020, the 2nd Gandhi Peace Dialogue took place in Bangkok, Thailand. Gemstoneuniverse was represented in the event through their ambassador Guruji Shrii Arnav, who was one of the noted speakers on the panel during the event. The event was held at the Holiday Inn in Silom, a luxurious and breathtaking area.
The event had the objective of discussing the effective application of Mahatama Gandhi’s philosophy to the events of the world today, and how this could work to help the world’s current problems.
The world is currently facing quite a few different obstacles, namely the COVID-19 pandemic which has ravaged and shutdown the world for almost the entirety of 2020.
In order to have effective discussion, keynote speakers of varying notability were invited, including names such as the Deputy Chief of Mission for India (Alpana Dubey), the former Minister for Foreign Affairs for Thailand Kasit Piromya as well as Guruji Shrii Arnav from Gemstoneuniverse who was the Guest of Honor for the event.
While the Deputy Chief of Mission for India Alpana Dubey stated that Gandhian philosophy is more important than ever in this day and age, Guruji Shrii Arnav from Gemstoneuniverse commented on how the 5R approach could be effectively applied to the COVID-19 pandemic. He stated that the 5R approach of Rapid, Remote, Reasonably risk free, Result oriented and Ready for any challenge has helped him transform large organizations to individuals and is remarkable for its effectiveness.
The event was also a good time for Guruji to release his acclaimed publication “The Secrets of Jyotish Gems”, published by Har-Anand in the Thai language. This is some sort of a record as in a small time frame of 18 months the magnum opus is available in 6 languages and being translated in 5 additional languages.
Another highlight of the program was the soulful and beautiful rendition of a “Bhajan”-a hymn that Mahatama Gandhi himself was known to love.
Overall, the event was a success and Gemstoneuniverse was represented well by Guruji Shrii Arnav and by his thoughts on the effective application of Gandhian philosophy, specifically using the 5Rs. This event proved that Gandhian philosophy is alive and well in 2020, and is still relevant in solving world crises.
