Hello Marcus, can you tell us a bit about yourself?
Hi, I am the CEO of real estate branch The Wellhöner Group. We are a real estate branch who also offer property management, house maintenance, garden maintenance and housecleaning. I have worked in the real estate industry for 28 years and have loved every second of it.
How did your career in real estate begin?
Ever since high school, I always knew that real estate was a career I would both enjoy and be really good at. I undertook an apprenticeship as a real estate agent and took on additional training to allow me to try various management positions. My professional qualifications are paired with my excellent communication skills. I have found success in the industry due to my spontaneity and my commitment to implementing thorough and well-executed projects.
When did you develop the branch Wellhöner Group and the companies within it?
Due to my leadership skills and my deep passion for real estate, it felt as though a natural step for me was to develop my own business. The Wellhöner Group has been operating since 2017 and is the umbrella brand that encapsulates four business areas which are run as independent limited partnerships. Wellhöner Immobilien offers property management and brokerage services. Wellhöner Consulting offers real estate consulting and interim management services and Wellhöner Facility Services offers house and garden maintenance as well as house cleaning. It has been a joy to run these services and they have become popular among clients due to their exemplary and well-rounded nature.
What makes you unique as a real estate agent?
The most unique thing about me and my business is that we take care of every aspect of homes and real estate. From the management and brokerage to everyday problems of tenants and owners, we work really hard to deliver solutions for our clients. We are an honest and reliable team of dedicated and specialists who use our experience to improve the lives of everyone we work with. We value good communication and innovative problem-solving.
What values do you consider the most important for your work?
Reliability, transparency, integrity, competence. These are the four qualities that I base the operation of my business on. Of course, there are plenty more important skills to have, but these are an excellent foundation.
How important is it to you to support charitable causes?
Giving back to the community in which I live and work is of paramount importance to me. We want the area in which we service to be a healthy and happy place to live and support a number of charities to help achieve this. These include animal welfare associations, poverty and homelessness support, climate action organisations, child welfare and much much more.
How has the real estate industry changed over the past few years?
The industry has changed a lot! Over the past 20 years or so I have witnessed many changes, both positive and negative. The digital world provides us with many new opportunities and advantages that allow us to connect with our clients and deliver our services more efficiently. On the other hand, I feel that many have forgotten the humanity that is needed in real estate services. I ensure that my company’s approach is to treat everyone with respect to ensure that everyone is satisfied with their quality of life.
How do you think the industry will continue to evolve?
As such as flexible industry, I don’t think it will ever remain stagnant. New technologies, ways of thinking, ways of operating are always being introduced. I try to take advantage of every new tool that comes my way if I think it is going to benefit my clients and make them more satisfied with the quality of my services.
