She is listed in the Guinness World Records for the first live-stream of a Broadway show and her work as an innovator in the theater streaming industry laid the groundwork for others to follow. Her efforts in making Broadway and live theatrical productions accessible to a global audience are expanding the fanbase for this once elite artform.
After twelve years of serving on their board, Comley was elected as the President of the Board of The Drama League, the theater industry’s preeminent organization for mentoring early career stage directors. These directors, nurtured and empowered by The Drama League’s support, are trained to create the most rigorous work possible, as a live exchange between artists and audiences.
The EVVYs is a platform to highlight outstanding student work and celebrate the artistic vision of all Emersonians. The 41st EVVY Awards executive produced by Ava Straccia, Halle Korman, Tori Interiano, and Kate Kiladis were broadcast from Emerson’s Cutler Majestic Theatre. A first-class performing home for many of New England’s finest arts groups, the Cutler Majestic Theatre gives residents and visitors to greater Boston exceptional and unusual cultural and entertainment programs to attend all year-round.
