Based in the United States, the retailer has been recording consistent growth, largely off the back of innovative and popular products, such as hemp plants and hemp-based oils. We got in touch with Axiom CBD and they were able to answer a few of our questions about their business.
How did Axiom CBD begin? Was there a specific event behind the underlying motivation?
Axiom CBD began in 2018. The underlying motivation came from my background in Healthcare. A group of physicians approached me explaining they were recommending CBD & Hemp Products to their patients, instead of prescribing painkillers. We now have state of the art products, facilities and personnel.
Have there been any major challenges that the business has had to deal with or overcome?
There have been major challenges in this industry over the last few years. CBD is not regulated by the Federal Drug Administration (FDA), so this has raised a lot of red flags. Banks have also been a major challenge in terms of accepting payment. When dealing with a controversial product, you must use a bank that provides a high-risk payment processor. The walls are slowly starting to come down since the Farm Bill was passed in December 2018, federally legalising hemp.
What are some of the main benefits of using hemp oil and hemp-based remedies?
CBD oil is made by extracting CBD from the cannabis plant, then diluting it with a carrier oil like coconut or hemp seed oil. There are several benefits of using the product. CBD is in a gold rush right now and is gaining momentum in the healthcare world. Scientific studies confirm it may help treat a variety of ailments like chronic pain and anxiety. There is much to be learned about the efficacy and safety of CBD. Recent studies have shown CBD to provide a safe, powerful natural treatment for many health issues.
Are there any differences between conventional hemp products and hemp products for animals?
There are no major differences between conventional hemp products and hemp products for animals. More research and scientific trials will come out for the veterinary community in order to discern the potential risks and major benefits of hemp for dogs. Some pet owners have reported benefits of hemp for dogs and cats, including treatment of pain, arthritis, seizures, anxiety, inappetence, and cognitive dysfunction.
Which products do you find are generally the most popular with customers?
Axiom CBD has top selling products for clients in the dietary supplement and cosmetic industry. Some of these products include tinctures, gummies, softgels and creams. These are the most popular on the market. However, our chemist and scientists have formulated a variety of additional CBD products ranging from sunscreen, chap stick, energy shots & water.
How many different hemp oil strengths does your business stock?
Axiom utilises its high-speed equipment and new packaging technology for counting, filling, capping, and sealing soft-gels, capsules, tablets and liquids. Our production team also handles label creation, printing, label application, shrink wrapping, and outer packaging for our clients. Our hemp oil strengths range from 5MG to 5000MG.
Are there any safety precautions users need to be aware of before using the products?
As a naturally occurring healing agent, CBD has been steadily gaining popularity and has become a mainstream option for many health-conscious patients who are wary of treatment with unnatural chemicals. CBD has been particularly helpful for people with chronic pain, anxiety, epilepsy and more. CBD will not get you high. Unlike THC, CBD is a non-psychoactive component to these plants and, therefore, does not alter sobriety, or cause a “high”.
