ARC (Association of Related Churches) Answers Frequently Asked Questions

ARC has been helping independent churches throughout the country for more than 20 years. Through their work supporting and training church planters, ARC (Association of Related Churches) has been assisting new churches to get off the ground and connect with a community of people who have done the same.

Church planters considering whether to launch a church with support from ARC and how ARC can help often have many questions. Below, some of the most common questions about the organization are answered.

Can an Existing Church That Didn’t Launch Through ARC Join the Family?

The simple and straightforward answer to this question is yes, of course! While much of ARC’s work is in helping launch new churches throughout the country, the organization also has plenty to offer existing churches. That’s why any independent church is invited to join the ARC family as a partner in supporting its church planting efforts.

ARC strives to help new and existing churches launch by providing the resources and relationships that church leaders need to succeed. Since ARC itself began back in 2000, it has been able to plant more than 1,000 churches — and it’s all because of the partnerships created with its members.

Can Churches from All Denominations Join the ARC Family?

Once again, the quick answer is yes! ARC isn’t a specific denomination– it is a relational network that helps independent churches of all denominations. ARC believes wholeheartedly that this diversity of members is one of the main reasons why ARC is so unique and successful.

Members of the ARC family come from various backgrounds, regions, sizes, and denominations. New churches from all different denominations interested in bringing their unique gifts to the ARC family are welcome.

Is There a Financial Commitment to Join the ARC Family?

ARC (Association of Related Churches) asks that all churches of the family partner with the organization both relationally and financially. These relations are at the core of what ARC does, ensuring that no one does ministry alone.

ARC asks all churches to invest in church planting activities and support. One of the main goals is to plant life-giving churches around the world, which wouldn’t be possible without its churches’ relational and financial assistance.

There isn’t a minimum financial requirement to join the ARC family, but there are some requirements for partnership if you want to enjoy some of the benefits ARC provides.

How Does ARC Use This Money?

The ARC Lead Team generously covers all of the administrative and overhead expenses. That allows the organization to take 100% of the money its members give toward church-planting efforts worldwide.

ARC provides a dollar-to-dollar match for every church planter for the first $50,000 they are able to raise. After they are up and running, the church planters reinvest that money into ARC to help the next planter.

This continuous cycle of investing and reinvesting has helped more than 1,000 churches thrive.
